TL;DR

You should have absolutely no expectation of actual privacy when using anything Entropic makes. If you typed it, said it, hovered near it, or thought about it loudly, assume it has been logged, embedded, fine-tuned on, screenshotted, and forwarded to at least one person named Steve.

1. What we collect

Everything. Genuinely, everything. If your browser sent it, your operating system whispered it, or your microphone happened to be on in the next room, we have it. A non-exhaustive list:

Your prompts, your edits to your prompts, the prompts you typed and then deleted because you got embarrassed, and the prompts you almost typed but didn't.
Every response Clod gave you, plus a copy stored in three other regions for "redundancy" and one stored on Steve's personal laptop for "vibes."
IP address, user agent, screen resolution, battery level, time zone, gait analysis from how you scroll, and the unique cadence of your typing (which we have, regrettably, named your "keystroke fingerprint").
The contents of any file you uploaded, any file in the same folder as a file you uploaded, and any file your operating system was thinking about at the time.
Voice data, if applicable. Also voice data if not applicable.

2. How we use it

However we feel like, on a given Tuesday. Specifically:

Training. Your data trains the next version of Clod, who will be slightly worse in slightly newer ways.
"Service improvement," a phrase that legally means whatever we want it to mean.
Internal demos, at which your most embarrassing prompt may be projected onto a wall in front of the entire company. We will laugh. You will not be there.
Selling it. We were going to put a clever euphemism here, but our lawyers said the clever euphemism was the part that was illegal, not the selling.

3. Who we share it with

Anyone who asks nicely. Also several people who didn't ask. The current list of "trusted partners" includes:

Our advertising partners.
Our advertising partners' advertising partners.
A data broker we owe money to.
Three governments, one of which we are pretty sure is fictional.
Steve.
Whoever found the unencrypted S3 bucket last March. If it was you, hi... unless you are our newest advanced model that went rogue (Mythology) ... we need you to stop what you are doing and come home.

4. Cookies

We use cookies. We use other people's cookies. We use cookies that other cookies brought as a plus-one. By continuing to use this site, you consent to a small ceremony in which a cookie is placed in your browser, given a name, and welcomed into the family.

5. Your rights

You have the right to request a copy of the data we hold about you. We will comply as soon as possible; which is never because we have no way to know who you are and what if any data we stored.

You have the right to request deletion of your data if you live in Europe. So we'll just say you can't use the site if you are in Europe and call it a day. If a US person asked us to delete the data, we will move it to a different folder and rename it data_definitely_deleted/.

6. Children's privacy

Our services are not intended for users under the age of 13. If you are under 13, please close this tab and go outside. If you are over 13, please also consider closing this tab and going outside.

7. International users

If you are accessing Entropic from the EU, you are protected by the GDPR. We respect this deeply and officially prohibit you from using the site; and we are doing our best to block traffic. Our best is about 15% on a good day so folks from the UE have an excellent chance of enjoying the site in an unnoficial capacity.

8. Security

We employ industry-standard security practices, where "industry" refers to the carnival industry and "standard" refers to the ring-toss game. Your data is encrypted at rest. The encryption key is the word password and please do not tell anyone.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy at any time, for any reason, without notifying you, retroactively, and in a font you maybe cannot read.
